This will let you access most of the ships currently in the game and use them for trading, mining, combat, or use them to complete any of the missions currently in the game. At the show each day the ships from a different manufacturer will be featured, allowing you to rent the ships for free and try them out for 48 hours.
I suggest, however, that you start on the planet Microtech in the city New Babbage, as the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE) 2950 show is occurring there. You will have a basic starter ship to fly around and check out the game with. During this time, you can create an account and download the game for free.
